Hot Air Baloon Down

On Saturday 10 January 2009, Horsley Park and Eastern Creek Brigades were called to an Aircraft Incident – Hot Air Balloon Crash on Chandos Rd at Horsley Park.

On arrival crews found a Hot Air Balloon had crash landed in a dam on the rural property, all passengers had escaped with only minor injuries and were treated by Ambulance personell. Due to the aircraft being powered by gas, HAZMAT were called to ensure that the gas was safe and the basket removed from the dam.
