Rotary Christmas Carols 2007

Each year the Brigade participates in the Rotary Club of Wetherill Park Carols held at Horsley Park, along with a static display of Appliances the Brigade also conducts a live fire display. The Brigade this year put on a simulated house fire with the rescue of a trapped person and starting a small grass fire outside.  

The structure used for the display was constructed by members of the Brigade on the Saturday afternoon prior to the start of Carols, it consisted of Wooden pallets and the inside of the house was filled with hay and cardboard pallets.

During the display members of the Brigade along with members of the Orchard Hills Brigade demonstrated their skills to a crowd of over 1000 people. Firefighters in CABA entered the structure and undertook a search for occupants and rescued a trapped person which was removed from the structure and passed onto to other crews to undertake first aid. Meanwhile the two Cat 7's from Horsley Park and Orchard Hills extinguished a small grass fire next to the Structure.
